Well, it's been about a week, but I'm back at long last. First off for anyone who doesn't know about the game I went to last weekend....the score remained 0 to 0 for 10 (yes...10) innings. Finally in the 11th inning the OTHER team finally got a run in. The dodgers failed to tie it again in the bottom of said inning. *sigh* But what the hell...it was a lot of fun just being able to be there with Tom and my parents so I guess I'm not too disappointed. My parents both showed up in their brand new dodger hats and shirts (like Tom and myself) and Dad rooted like a trooper for the men in the blue. ^_^ I was really very proud (you would've been proud too, Michelle *if you happen to read this*). I only worked 4 days this last week as Tom and I both got Sunday night off so we wouldn't have to worry about going in after spending a good chunk of the day with Mom and Dad. The week wasn't too bad, but I was glad to invite the weekend. This week I'm scheduled to work a full 5 days / 40 hours so I expect that next weekend will be even MORE welcome than the current one was.


So...Tom and I have had this sort of pointless bet going on as to who could (or couldn't rather) go the longest without kissing the other person. So it's been about 3 days since we've kissed. Earlier I was seriously actually about to give up and just kiss him on the cheek, but he pulled away and when I said I was trying to give up and kiss him the punk didn't believe me! Then when I told him to come back so I could he said he didn't believe that I would and left the room. Good God he's such a dork sometimes. Grrrr...well, I need to head into the restroom soon so maybe I'll make a detour across the trailer and give him what's coming to him. *gets sneaky looking eyes*

Well, I think I'm going to go for now. Not sure what I'm going to do...maybe I'll log onto WoW for a while...we'll see.

LA Dodgers

Well, I finally got this stupid site to let me log in again. Geesh! I don't have a lot of time to write anything though today. Tom and I are just getting ready to head out the door. My parents are in town for their anniversary so we are taking them to an LA Dodger game today. ^_^ Hopefully now that I can get onto this site again I'll start writing again at least as frequently as I was before (which I know wasn't a lot, but still...) Update

Well, I figure that I should probably do at least one entry here in Utah even if I'm already in the same house of one of the (maybe) 3 people that could read this post. -shrugs- Oh well! Just a quick update on the vaca. So far I'm having a pretty good time. I miss Tom like crazy and I know I'll be so excited when I get to see him on Saturday, but I'm having a great time with my family. Jason has come over a couple times and we played Mario Party 8 on the Wii. Okay...ADDICTED! I'm so buying that game when I get home. Yeah...Tom's not gonna have much say in the matter. *big cheesy smile*
Of course we've done our usual family thing of going to both costco for lunch and to walmart to browse around, but I'm sure we'll do both again at least once before Rorie and I go home. Other than that not too much is going on. Jami hasn't been here for most of the time I have cuz she and her kids went up to Salt Lake early Sunday morning to surprise her mom for Mother's day. Hmmm...mother's day. I wonder when facing that day will be easier for me...-sigh-
Well, I better get going. I think Jess might start to think I love her computer more than her. (I don't...don't worry ^_^)

Going to Utah today!

Well Tom, Rorie and I will be leaving today to meet Mom, Jess and Jason in Baker so that they can take Rorie and myself the rest of the way to their house in Utah. That's....in about 6 1/2 hours (that we'll be almost leaving here). Then it's a few hours on the road (give or take) and I get to see them! Yay! ^_^ So, we just got home from work a little bit ago as we stopped by the grocery store on the way so that Tom has something to eat after he gets home later tonight. We have about 6 1/2 hours (as I said) before we really need to probably be about ready to go....and we are (for the life of us) not at all tired. -sigh- I am a bit hungry though....I'm contemplating making myself some ramen...I just haven't decided if I want to wash the dishes right now in order TO have some ramen. N E way...I'm going to try to think of something boring to do to get myself tired.

If you read this after you've picked me up and we're back at the house...I'm sure I was too polite to say, but you hugged me a little tight when we met up in Baker....just sayin.... ;-)

5 Nights and Mother's Day. I couldn't have planned that better!

Okay, so I was at work last night and all the sudden it hits me like a ton of bricks. (Not hard bricks...big huge soft plush bricks). Since I got my time off request in later than planned and therefor had to ask the week after I had originally planned, that means that I'll be in Utah on Mother's Day! You have no idea how seriously happy that makes me! I don't think I've seen my mom on Mother's Day since I moved to California! Woohoo! That does mean though that I'm going to talk to Rorie about the situation because as much as I'd love her to come I think that she has the right to not come if she doesn't want to miss that with her own mom. I could totally relate! I even bought Mom a small gift since I realized I'd be there for the occasion. It's not much, but I saw it and thought, "Mama! That's for my Mama!"
Also I'm going to end up working 5 nights this week instead of just 4 because plano was scheduled to do about 13 more hours worth of work than what people who were going to be there are scheduled, so the manager okayed Sherry to ask those of us who have it off to come in. I figure the extra day won't kill me especially since I'll be taking the entire next week off.

I wonder if I can convince my mama that we need to go to dinner on Sunday for Mother's Day. I'd probably have to include Dad on the deal too...and the rest of the bunch =p Heehee!

Well, I'm off. I have to run the rent checks down to the office and head to bed. Tom and I are going to his grandparent's this afternoon to do some laundry and we'll go to work from there. Hoping for a fast week. *crosses fingers*

Well, I made it through the first night of work for the week. It wasn't so bad. We didn't have any planograms to set so we actually spent the night helping out in soft-lines. First we actually did a bit of zoning in kitchen while they did their truck unload and then we went and pushed out baby world (damn that never gets easier...grrr) and then I spent the rest of the night taking hanging clothes out of boxes and sorting them onto z-rails for the softlines ladies to push.
I now have 3 nights left of work before my night off and my week vacation. I'm hoping that the rest of the week will continue to go by as fast as last night did ....and not as slow as inventory was. Aye!
Yeah...inventory on Thursday night...well let's just say that I can't even get myself to lie about enjoying it. I swear I was there for 8 hours and it felt like about 30. I was definitely glad when that night was finally over and done with.
Currently we are at Tom's granparent's house because we had to print out something for getting financial help for getting our car fixed up since we didn't pass our smog test. (Ouch!) We did get a 60 day extension on our registration though so since we are getting that sent out asap I do believe we'll be okay on that.

I'm getting really excited about seeing my family next week. Like I said before...I'm hoping that the rest of the week continues to just fly by! LoL!

I think I'm going to go now in case Tom is ready to leave soon. We only got 4 hours of sleep yesterday so I'm quite tired. I can't wait to get home and go to bed!

Yeah, real short post today. Work was pretty stressful last night which has gotten me a bit worked up. I still have to go in for inventory tonight, then I have 2 nights off and then I work 4 days next week. Next weekend can't come soon enough...damn, right now I wish that I'd gotten my time off request in a few days earlier so that I could be leaving for Utah tomorrow afternoon instead of a week from tomorrow. I think me going for the week is much needed right now for my sanity. -sigh- Yeah, like I said...it was just a stressful night.
