So, I was sitting here pondering the universe and decided 'what the hell...let me put my thoughts into typed words on the site that everyone probably thinks I've forgotten about?' Okay okay...WoW is down for maintainance and I was bored so here I am! I'm downloading a game to play with Ro-chan, but it's taking a while. ((sigh))
Well, work has been pretty slow lately becuz of stupid economy stuff goin' on. I only work 4 nights this week and Tom only works 3. I know...YIKES! I guess for the situation we live in we'll actually be okay, but we're going to have to cut back on stuff since right now it's basically more like only one of us has a job, but we'll get through it somehow. The only thing that sucks is that I was hoping to be able to save up a little money for our Utah trip, but who knows how that's going to go...also I had hopped to be able to go for about 2 weeks, but now if Tom says we can't afford to take that much time off I really can't argue since hours are already so slow. I guess we'll see how things go though, and if I only get a week with my family I'll just have to make it one damn good week!
So, did anyone go shopping on Black Friday? I did my usual and hid at home where it was safe. Seriously, 2 men shot each other dead in a toys are us cuz their lady friends were fighting over a stupid toy! Yeah...DEAD! Funny thing is, both the men who pulled the guns were shot dead, and no one else in the store was hurt! I tell you people are freakin' insane on Black Friday! Not even worth it if you ask me...I mean, yeah, those are the best sale days (1 or 2 days after thanksgiving), but there are still really good sales all over (that are almost just as good) all throughout the entire holiday season! A little extra % off isn't worth the health hazzard in my opinion.
Tom and I helped Grandma put up her Christmas tree yesterday. We still need to finish decorating it though, but it's looking good so far. I can't wait till Christmas. ^_^ Well, I'm going to go find something to do while I wait for me thing to finish downloading. Peace out all.

2 Nights down. 2 Nights to go. Then Utah?
So, I'm scheduled to work a 4 day week this week. 2 of which I'm over and done with. So I have to go to work tonight & tomorrow night and then the plan is for me to go with Dawn (and possibly Rorie) to Utah to get Dawn's car from my parents' house. Don't know exactly how we're going to be bringing it back, but I guess I'll let Dawn worry about the details. I'm guessing that if things go as planned that we will probably leave here sometime Thursday evening so that we can do our driving at night when there's less traffic (which is preferable to both Dawn and myself). I feel really bad that it's going to have to be such a quick trip, but if we really don't leave here till Thursday night, and the latest we can stay in Utah is really Saturday night, that's not a whole lot of time. (Yeah, I work Sunday night so that's why Saturday is the latest we could stay in town).
I was thinking that maybe on Friday Jess and I could make some pound salsa. ^_^ Tom and I made it yesterday and I just ate some left overs. Mmmm...if you haven't tried pound salsa before you're so missing out. It's NUMMY!
As bad as I feel though that I'll only have a couple days to see my family it's not so bad since Tom and I intend to take a week off of work after the whole Christmas rush at work ends so that we can BOTH go for a visit. I honestly think I'm more excited about that than just going this weekend. Well, I'll have Tom with me then (duh), and I half imagine that Dawn will complain about something or other during the trip, whether it be her allergies in Utah or whatever else.. Eh, it'll be okay. Dawn and I have been getting along pretty well. In fact...I think it's been quite some time since we've had a spat over anything. *ponders this* Maybe she's just forgotten that I intend to marry her little boy. (Heeheehee, Just joking.) Dawn has also been really good about being there for Grandma since Grandpa passed away. Yeah, FYI: Dawn and her mother haven't gotten along since practically the day Dawn was born. So, Tom and I are both pretty proud of her that she's still showing her mom a bit of humanity.
Anyway...how'd I get all Dawn topic'd?
So, like I said, I'm excited about going to Utah for a week visit soon. I'm not sure exactly when we'll ask off for, but I do know that it'll be AFTER January 15 (as that is the last day that is labeled as "NO TIME OFF PERMITTED DUE TO THE BUSY SEASON" sign at work. I guess I'll just have to survive until then. Thinking of you all and missing you.

Been a very long week. -sigh-
Well, to start off Tom's grandfather (who we lived with when we first move to California) died of (apparently that I know) a heart attack. He and Grandma were on a camping trip at the time. I guess he hadn't been feeling at all well the whole day and as they were getting ready for bed he collapsed. Tom and I found out about it on Saturday afternoon when Grandma and Uncle Darrin came to our trailer. So we then followed them to Grandma's house to tell Dawn and Rorie who were there doing laundry and such. Needless to say we didn't get a whole lot of sleep that day, and the week as a whole as somewhat dragged on from that point.
Thankfully though I'm now finished with my work week so I don't have to worry about waking up early tonight. Right now I'm just waiting for Cost-Co to open so Tom and I can go pick up a couple things (and get some nummy lunch while we're at it).
Grandpa's memorial service is supposed to be tomorrow at 3pm. So....I know we're both going to be tired as hell, but there's no way we'd miss going to that.
It was so sad...we were over at Grandma's the other day discussing some dinner plans. Well, her sister Jeniffer was over (just to be there with her) and we were all looking through photos cuz I guess there's going to be some kind of slideshow with Music that Grandpa always liked. Well Jeniffer was scanning through an album when she suddenly came across several pictures of Van and Tom when they were little. (Van is her son who was killed a short while ago while in Germay...he and Tom were about the same age.) Tom saw the pictures and gave her a hug and then she started to cry. :-( It was so sad. Too much death lately....that's what I think. Way too much death. :-(
Well, I guess that's all I have for now. I think Tom wants some help with a quest on WoW so I should probably go be on assistance. Ciao for now.

Ho Hum....
I think I'm really only writing something right now because I haven't in a little bit and I don't want to get back into the habit of getting out of the habit of writing. Hopefully that makes sense....and if it doesn't...who gives. The voices are telling me it sounds okay so that's all I care about. ^_^
Yeah, I was the one who finally gave up on that whole kissing bet a while after I finished my last entry. It felt good to have that be over. What gets me though is that after I lost Tom was content with giving me a peck on the lips to (I guess) celebrate his ability to kiss me again. Yeah, that was it. No serious makin' out for this girl. *sigh* I swear I love that boy to death, but sometimes I wish he acted more like he did when we were still fairly new dating.
Well, he's napping right now and I'm actually supposed to be getting him up about now so I guess I will call it an entry here. I'll try to write again soon if I have anything worth posting. Hope everyone has a great day.

Well, it's been about a week, but I'm back at long last. First off for anyone who doesn't know about the game I went to last weekend....the score remained 0 to 0 for 10 (yes...10) innings. Finally in the 11th inning the OTHER team finally got a run in. The dodgers failed to tie it again in the bottom of said inning. *sigh* But what the hell...it was a lot of fun just being able to be there with Tom and my parents so I guess I'm not too disappointed. My parents both showed up in their brand new dodger hats and shirts (like Tom and myself) and Dad rooted like a trooper for the men in the blue. ^_^ I was really very proud (you would've been proud too, Michelle *if you happen to read this*). I only worked 4 days this last week as Tom and I both got Sunday night off so we wouldn't have to worry about going in after spending a good chunk of the day with Mom and Dad. The week wasn't too bad, but I was glad to invite the weekend. This week I'm scheduled to work a full 5 days / 40 hours so I expect that next weekend will be even MORE welcome than the current one was.
So...Tom and I have had this sort of pointless bet going on as to who could (or couldn't rather) go the longest without kissing the other person. So it's been about 3 days since we've kissed. Earlier I was seriously actually about to give up and just kiss him on the cheek, but he pulled away and when I said I was trying to give up and kiss him the punk didn't believe me! Then when I told him to come back so I could he said he didn't believe that I would and left the room. Good God he's such a dork sometimes. Grrrr...well, I need to head into the restroom soon so maybe I'll make a detour across the trailer and give him what's coming to him. *gets sneaky looking eyes*
Well, I think I'm going to go for now. Not sure what I'm going to do...maybe I'll log onto WoW for a while...we'll see.

LA Dodgers
Well, I finally got this stupid site to let me log in again. Geesh! I don't have a lot of time to write anything though today. Tom and I are just getting ready to head out the door. My parents are in town for their anniversary so we are taking them to an LA Dodger game today. ^_^ Hopefully now that I can get onto this site again I'll start writing again at least as frequently as I was before (which I know wasn't a lot, but still...)
